Hello Reader!
A few fun notes:
I relaunched my Travel With Ashley Substack. In addition to being a freelance content pro, I am also an avid traveler, worldschooler, and remote worker. I relaunched my nomad newsletter. Expect stories from the road, worldschooling and remote work tips, and the practical stuff that makes family travel doable. If that sounds like your kind of inbox, come along for the ride.
I don't know about you, but I have AI fatigue. I'm thinking about adding a little spark of human joy to Friday's newsletter. Tell me if you like it.

English major alert! Recently, I've been getting back into re-reading the classics.
I mean... we're probably all re-reading East of Eden right now to see how we feel about Florence Pugh's portrayal of Cathy Ames, am I right? (HOW DO YOU FEEL!?!?!)

But since it's October, I am focusing on the spooky classics. I just finished re-reading Frankenstein. I haven't read it since college, and I FORGOT HOW GOOD IT IS.
Also, tell me if this sounds relatable. A mad scientist creates a monster that's human-like. And the monster starts out being helpful by anonymously caring for a human family he admires. All he wants is love and companionship. Then the humans panic and treat him cruelly. So he learns cruelty from them, and it changes him into the very monster they assumed he was.
So, I'm not saying to tell ChatGPT/Claude thank you, but I'm also NOT NOT saying it either. Yanno? But I am saying read Frankenstein. If you want to listen, the Jaime Bell version is outstanding.
