Hello Reader! It's been a while (like a whole month). Sorry for the newsletter pause. I was off re-strategizing for 2026, focusing on what I like to call "doing fun," and practicing my "Restaurant Spanish" in Peru (Te encargo una margarita con MUCHO tequila, por favor!) I spent the last two weeks in the Amazonian jungle with my BFF and 6 out of our 8 kids—all boys! (Note: AI did not write that darn em dash. T'was me. Because, look. If you're traveling with 6 boys in the Amazonian jungle, you use a freakin' em dash, yanno?) Anyway, it was a wild adventure where we did some cool things like fishing for... chomp, chomp... piranhas, holding cutie sloths, hanging out with monkeys, and swimming in the Amazon River with pink dolphins (they're REAL!) Pics or it didn't happen, right: We also did some of the WORST things I've ever done in my life. And, I mean, truly terrible, like:
We also went to Cusco. Put Machu Picchu on your bucket list, because it's truly incredible. Now, I realize you didn't subscribe to my travel newsletter. (You can do that here). But I truly learned absolutely nothing about content marketing on my adventure, and don't even want to try to make my brain go there because I like myself. But I wanted to explain what I've been doing over the past month and why the inbox pause. If you know me, you know I'm a HUGE advocate of work-life balance and the whole "work to live, not live to work" thing. The life of a solopreneur is v. STRESSFUL. If you don't take breaks to do things you enjoy, you'll burn out fast. I wrote about that here for Copyhackers in case you need some strategies to manage burnout. Next week, we'll dive back into the wild world of content marketing. Thanks for reading! P.S. Did someone forward you this email? Cool! You can become a subscriber, too. If you're a content marketer, you already know video is essential. What holds most of us back isn't ideas—it's the production workflow. Recording is easy. But editing? Exporting? Uploading to five different platforms? Tracking what actually performs? That's where the wheels fall off. The Descript app for HubSpot changes this. Edit videos by editing text. Seriously—it works like editing a Google Doc. Cut filler words, rearrange sections, and create multiple versions without timeline editing or...
