Sorry that I missed sending the newsletter out last week. My mom has been in the hospital, and we all know navigating the US healthcare system is...a bit of a nightmare.
But this week, we have an awesome expert interview from my friend Kari about setting prices, 3 trends to watch, 3 great articles (including one about setting up AI-agents to run your biz), and some sweet AI updates.
Thanks for reading,

Expert Interview | Kari Huske
1. Tell me more about your career journey.
I would describe my personal and professional stories as a blend of practicality and adventure. On the personal side, I’m originally from Chicago, and for the past eight years, I’ve been calling Panama home. Life here is full of energy with my husband and our three little boys. Outside of work, it’s a mix of family and hobbies like tennis, cycling, and yoga—and I’m holding onto a dream of one day earning my pilot’s license!
On the career front, strategy and finance have always been at the core. Most of my professional experience has centered around helping businesses and organizations with a mission to create impact. After college, I moved to Washington, DC, to work on USAID-funded international development projects. As soon as I finished my MBA at Georgetown and working at PwC, we moved to Panama and I shifted into consulting part-time and navigating life as a full-time mom of three busy boys. I had about a 2 year stint at the United Nations after which I decided I wanted to launch my own business KH Strategies. Now, I partner with small business owners to help them build more profitable, sustainable, and impactful businesses.
2. What's one thing content marketers can do to sort out their prices?
First, know that your pricing should evolve as your business does. If you haven’t changed your pricing in a while or have never thought of your pricing in a strategic way, it’s time to take a look. Pricing strategy is more than what your specific prices are at the moment or how you might tweak them in the future. Your pricing strategy is your approach to aligning the value you provide to your customers and the value you create internally for your business. It considers pricing structures, pricing tactics, and methodologies that make sense for your specific business (read: no copy, pasting someone else’s).
The next step to begin to sort out your specific prices is to use what I call the 3 pillars approach. The three pillars are cost-based, market based and value based. Cost-based is how much it costs you to deliver the product or service (including the cost of your time which many service-based business owners aren’t sure how to calculate). Market-based is what prices exist in the marketplace for similar offerings and the client’s willingness to pay. Value-based starts with what quantifiable return on investment your clients receive as a result from your product or service. To strategically determine your prices, you need to be clear about these numbers. Then depending on the products or service you sell, your industry and a handful of other factors, you’ll assess which pillars or combination of pillars you’ll lean on to establish your prices.
The last thing I’ll say is pricing is not a dirty word! So many people are afraid to talk about pricing for a whole host of reasons. But learning and improving start with openness and a willingness to bring it to the forefront. So talk about it with your peers, your friends and definitely your clients. Or give me a call- I’m happy to talk about pricing all day long!
Content trends to watch
Trends to watch: What’s changing in content marketing, search, and social — and what it means for your work.
💡 AI-assisted content creation is the norm: AI content is now standard, with tools helping draft, optimize, and localize content faster. We're seeing a huge uptick in AI-generated content. Some of it's great. Lots of it is noise.
💡 It's all about zero-click content: Brands are moving away from link-based posts and instead delivering full value directly within platforms—using carousels, long-form captions, and threads—to capture attention and build trust without requiring a single click.
💡 Content communities are on the rise: Brands are shifting from one-way messaging to two-way ecosystems, using private groups, live events, and exclusive content to boost engagement, loyalty, and co-creation with their audience. Examples include Figma’s Friends of Figma, Notion’s online community, and Duolingo’s Discord server, where users engage, share, and co-create.
